Lot 503 Colt Woodsman 'Match Target' .22 LR
Sn: MT11671. This pistol has been re-blued. The Colt Woodsman Match Target (1st Series) features an "MT" prefix in its serial number, produced from roughly June 1938 (MT1) to February 1944 (MT16611). These, along with other Match Target models, are identified by this specific prefix, distinguishing them from other Woodsman series. Manufactured 1941. 5 1/4" slab sided barrel, pinned blade front, micro adjustable square notch rear sights, serrated trigger with adjustable stop, slide stop. vintage “Pointer” stocks from W. Murad of San Carlos California with right thumb rest, oak leaf, acorn motifs. The bore is very good/bright, action is smooth, the slide stop is hard the engage, needs oil, the grips are very good and the re-blued finish about 97% with minor scratches. The 'Rampant Colt' and Colt markings on the slide are clear but the "Woodsman" on the barrel is partially washed out from the re-finish. Comes with the checkered wood, finger rest target grips. One Colt magazine.
